BIG things happening on the Central Coast!

Read on to find out where we’ll be this month
and all of the summertime experiences we hope you’ll join us for…

Get ready for Paso Robles’ BIGGEST summer event…

The California Mid State Fair!

July 19th-30th

Crowds flock to the Central Coast for this statewide event filled with fried foods, ag demonstrations, and carnival rides!! We’ve attended the fair every year for the last 18 as our kids were involved in 4-H, so we’re thrilled to continue the tradition with our own new Hambly Farms spin!!

All fair long…
Find your favorite Hambly Farms products in the “Locals Only” marketplace in the Adelaide Building.
We’ll be keeping all the goods stocked, but let us know which ones you’ll be looking for so we can put out extras!

Sunday, July 23rd
Get in on the fun (and get a good laugh) at the Quiz Jam!
This popular event brings teams of local youth together for a farm-style competition.
We’re proud to be a sponsor of this event that our kids participated in many of the past two decades.
If you’re there to watch, you’ll also see teams work to gather, weigh, and bundle lavender as one of the competition rounds!

Thursday, July 27th
From 4-8pm, we’ll be in Farm Alley (between the ag buildings) answering all your questions about growing lavender,
harvesting, creating products, and more! Grab a cold beverage and come say hi!

In case you missed it…

Now that our grosso lavender is fully bloomed, we’re harvesting like crazy and that means DISTILLATION! From the field to the bottle, our distillation process takes ~90 minutes and it produces two of our most popular and useful products:

Lavender Essential Oil
and
Lavender Flower Water (HydroSol)

If you’ve ever had questions about either product or wondered how they were made, come to the farm this week to watch Milton and the copper still in action!

Love Notes…

We’ve been enjoying your visits to the farm SO much this season and we’re busily prepping for big summer events. We’re especially excited to be sponsoring the Quiz Jam this year, as it brings back fond memories of our kids’ participation as they were growing up. This event is so close to our hearts and truly a fun way for agriculturally-inclined youth to test a variety of skills in an encouraging competition.

We hope we’ll get to see you at the Fair, but if not, we’ll still be open Friday-Monday from 9am-5pm and we’d love to see you whenever you can make it out! Our guided u-pick experiences are at 9am, 11am, and 5pm but you can join us anytime during open hours for your own self-guided harvesting experience!

Love,
Gina & Milton

We hope to see you soon! Happy Travels!
